  • Top part of the screen door is a chalkboard...while still keeping the ventilation at the bottom.

Out of necessity I put a screen door on my laundry room. Out of ugliness....I dressed it up!

Because my heater is in my unfinished laundry room...I needed the ventilation from the door opening. My two year old grandson wouldn't stay out of the tools and supplies I keep in there....so I decided a screen door was perfect. However, I REALLY didn't want to see all the unfinished crap, so a top chalkboard and some little gingerbread curves is just what the dr. ordered. #vintagestyle #diy

Painting the Claw Foot Tub

Painting a bathtub is easier than you think. I had painted the inside of my old claw foot tub a couple years ago using tub and sink paint. That stuff is smelly! It's held up great, ...»
though. Recently, I painted the outside with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. I also painted a fleur de lis and stripe to give it a bit more character. U used Annie Sloan's Paris Grey paint. You can see the full project on my blog.

A bathroom remodel in our last house

We bought our last house knowing that it was for the soul intention of reselling. It was the ugliest house in the best neighborhood. If it hadn't been in the worst town...and IN town....I ...»
would have just stayed put! WHEN we were through. This was one of the first posts when I first started blogging....one of the reasons I did. My friends were tired of wanting to know what my houses looked like when I was done....we always sold them before anyone got to look. #organizedhome
