How to Hang Letters the Easy Way

There is a very quick and easy way to mount wooden letters on your wall. Skip the screws, hammers and nails. We also dressed up some plain white letters with scrap book paper for a more custom look.

Replacing our bathroom exhaust fan

Both of our bathroom exhaust fans are shot. The one in our guest bath was a beast at one time; it sounded like an F-16 afterburner on takeoff and moved air like an angry hurricane. I'm ...»
surprised it didn't pull the door off its hinges. Certainly, it blew too much of our costly air conditioning up into the attic. Now it's fried.

  • The space was originally 2 separate rooms-a tiny toilet, shower, single sink and a vanity area.  We removed the wall and 2 closets to make one open space. 2
  • Because this was a total DIY project, we were able to complete a much higher end looking bathroom for $7,000. 1
  • These mirrors (from Lowes) and sconces (from Home Depot) were both very affordable options and I love the look they create in the bathroom. 2
  • The pedestal tub is my favorite addition to the space.

  • Vertical gardens are perfect for small decks or apartment dwellers.
  • Start by constructing your vertical garden bed.  The bed assembles in about an hour.  A drip irrigation system is installed for future watering.
  • Fill the vertical garden bed with dirt.
  • Cover your vertical garden bed with weed block, add a frame and lattice.  Your vertical garden bed is ready for flowers.
  • Cut the weed block and plant your flowers.
  • Lay horizontally for 3 weeks before hanging.
