  • I wrapped burlap ribbon around the can and added a print of an old ledger paper.
  • This could be used for holding office supplies or at a wedding or shower as centerpieces.
  • This one is feminine and pretty it could just as easily be added to your vanity to hold makeup brushes.
  • It could also be used for weddings, showers or any girly event. 2

A Chippy Farm table gets new lift as a coffee table

I love old chippy farm tables.I bought one recently but did not have the right place for it.Not wanting to part with it I cut the legs shorter and made it into a coffee table.

  • 1. Here's the before. A faux stain glass window I created using Gallery Glass over a decade ago. I used a hand steamer and scraper to remove the design. I'll be honest -- it took some elbow grease.
  • 2. Before I started, I drew out my desired design on a sheet of paper sized to the window. This served as my template.
  • 3. Then I grabbed my faux stain glass Gallery Glass materials, which included self-adhesive leading strips, liquid leading, and crystal clear "color."
  • 4. I applied the leading strips first. They are so easy to work with and can easily be cut, removed, and repositioned. A level ensured the lines were straight.
  • 5. Once the leading lines were in place, I applied the Gallery Glass crystal clear directly onto the glass. When it dried to clear after 24 hours, it added instant character to my 100+ year old home.

Faux Leaded Glass Window

I've always had a fondness for leaded glass windows, but the expense was out of reach. That is until I found a product that let me turn my boring old glass windows into faux stain glass ...»
beauties. I simply applied the product directly onto the existing window. And self-adhesive "leading" strips made the process so much easier. The full tutorial can be found on my blog post ...

  • New white kitchen cabinets! Love the creamy white color and the paint over our old stain worked great. 1
  • Kitchen before, with dark oak stained cabinets and laminate countertops that I was not a fan of.
  • Another after. I just love the freshness of it. And I added pops of color with my dishes and accessories so it wasn't too white in here.

Kitchen Makeover and Painting Kitchen Cabinets

I am so thrilled our white kitchen is done now! Although there was nothing wrong with our stained oak cabinets, it's not what I wanted so I took the plunge and had them painted. And I've ...»
never looked back. :) The part I most love is that the grain doesn't show through and the cabinets are incredibly smooth. I can't say I would have gotten those same results if I DIY'd it. Our new countertops are also laminate! They look amazing and I can't believe how much it really looks like granite. People are definitely fooled. :) To see more of our kitchen makeover with a complete source list and TONS of after pics, visit my post. http://www.decorchick.com/white-kitchen-make...

Budget Kitchen Remodel

My husband and I have been working on remodeling our kitchen for what seems like forever! We aren't 100% finished (still need updated lighting and would like to re-do the floors) but we ...»
are at a good stopping point. I love the way it has turned out, we took it from an outdated, bland, builders grade kitchen to an cheerful updated one for just $1600! We raised the top cabinets to the ceiling and added open shelving underneath to get rid of that awkward wasted space above the cabinets. We also planked the walls, painted the cabinets, did butcher block countertops, and an undermount basin sink. Click through to the post to read more, and you will also find links to the posts about each individual project in the space.
