  • I had these old legs lying around at the shop, but you can purchase similar legs at a home improvement store. The square ends made it easier to attach to the drawer.
  • An old drawer I had left over from a dresser turned media cabinet. I filled the holes so I could use different hardware.
  • I lined the drawer with a plastic tray and attached it to the bottom of the drawer to catch any run off from watering the plants. (I did have to cut it to make it fit, but then just sealed it with a silicone bead so it wouldn't leak.
  • I had some old plywood (anything would do though) and used a 4" hole saw to make the holes for the pots to sit in.
  • We assembled them and I painted, distressed, and added fun knobs!
  • A great way to add a pop of color on a front porch, in the kitchen, on a deck, or even in the garden (seal with an outdoor poly!) for the summer.

Tulip Town!

This place was so sparkly and colourful, that I kept expecting a rainbow of Skittles to come raining down on us at any moment. I kid you not it was that beautiful.

Enjoy!

  • My Cardinals love this cute DIY Terra Cotta Bird Feeder! 1
  • Gather these easy to find supplies: Terra Cotta Pot, Saucers, Picture Hanging Wire, 5" Eye Bolt,2 Nuts, Fishing Swivel, Branch & a water bottle! Soak your terra cotta in water over night to make drilling the holes easier... 1
  • You have to drill several holes in the pots/saucers and to do this you'll need a drill with a masonry bit. After soaking your terra cotta and marking your holes, slowly drill over markings applying steady pressure as you drill. 3
  • The water bottle will be your seed reservoir- Cut the top off your water bottle so it fits inside the pot. Mark holes to line up with the drilled holes in the terra cotta...using an exacto knife, cut out holes in water bottle-
  • Now simply connect all the pieces with your eye bolt and heavy gage wire! The eye bolt goes through the water bottle, clay pot, saucer and tree branch-secure it with a nut on top and on bottom... 1
  • Easy and oh so cute spring project!
