You spend 1/3 of your life with your head on your pillow, but have you ever cleaned it? You probably toss your sheets in the washing machine every week or so, but it's just as important to de-funk your pillows!
A few great tips:
- Toss two pillows in the washing machine at a time. This way, the machine will stay balanced while it spins.
- When you throw your pillows in the dryer, also
add in a couple of tennis balls wrapped in white socks. They'll help to refluff your pillows!

I wash my down pillows and comforters in a big front loader at the laundramat. I had a
laundramat owner who had just opened tell me that the company he bought his machines from told him that you add 3x's the amount of liquid fabric softener to the rinse and they dry faster. I've been doing that for 5 years and they dry in 1/3 the time with no clumping or mess. No need to use tennis balls or shoes or whatever.
