Why not put some burlap on the back of the bookshelves!

I used a 12" wide roll of burlap and a staple gun.

This was much easier and quicker than painting would have been!

I love the texture it gives!

  • We labeled all of the squares so we would know what we planted. Once the garden started producing, we add flowers and fresh vegetables until the first frost. Success!!!
  • First, we bought this book which gave us step by step details.
  • This is the area where we decided to build the garden. It doesn't look too great, does it?
  • We bought the supplies and built the forms just like the book instructed.
  • Then we filled it with a good soil mixture and added wooden slats to divide the space into square feet.

  • Hello! Mad Men.
Martini, anyone?
  • Here he was when he first came home after a stay at the GW.
  • Plain, boring and pretty yuck inside. But this bad boy had so much potential I just had to take him home with me.
  • The Dry Bar packs a big punch with it's black undercoat and sexy metallic finishes...all roughed up.
  • The fold up top has a dreamy watercolor effect.

  • We used to live in what is now our rental house. A couple of years ago when I decided to update the kitchen on a budget, I gave the pantry doors a little update with paint and fabric...
  • Here's how the doors looked before...like they came straight out of the 90's!
  • I painted the doors the color of the repainted trim and used fabric from 2 pillow cases to make curtains for the pantry. Using a glue gun, I put the curtain right on the glass! The fabric is easily changed - just in case!
