Design & Décor: Need some advice

We just remodeled our Mbr and it still needs some tweaking. We used sea glass colors and lots of shells in the room. I just painted the armoire and I want to paint the jewelry armoire but ...»
what color.I'm a monocromatic person so I don't usually use dark or bright colors. should I add some turquise items on the dresser? When we walk into the room, I want a Wow. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated and even constructive criticism. It has to be accessories because we spent all of our money on the remodel.

Deck and Outdoor Living Tuna Can Lantern

Inexpensive and easy way to make DIY outdoor lighting by re-purposing a tuna can. A dowel, paint or old broom stick, wood screw, copper fitting, and a thrift store glass hurricane is all that is needed. Simply drill a hole in the can and dowel to attach the dowel/paintstick and spray paint it. Once the paint is dry add the glass hurricane. Cost- $5.00

Check out this inviting outdoor living space!

It includes a custom deck around a resistance pool and an arbor with a fireplace that anchors one end of the yard. Pavers and stone laid in sod tie the two areas together.

Bathroom: Remodeling master bath

What are your feelings about having a hot tub in a bathroom? A friend told me theirs made so much noise, it was not practical to use. Admittedly, it would only be used maybe once a month relaxing after a hard day.

Penny floors

Saw this kitchen floor made by mosaic artist Amanda Edwards using pennies. Seems like a great idea. I was actually thinking of using this idea for a backsplash, but still a lot to consider.

This is amazing, and to think that people don't even bother to pick pennies up anymore.
