  • The fountain is basically two pots stacked together with a pump. We used a combination of large and small rocks to hold everything in place.
  • We bought the pots at Lowes, but if you already have pots that would work, you could probably make this for less than $25... 1
  • We love to sit on our porch and listen to the water. During the summer, we have several different types of birds that visit and it is so cute to watch them "bathe" in the fountain.

Make your own outdoor Bubble Fountain

Ready to use outdoor fountains can be so pricey, so we decided to make our own... We did it with supplies from the hardware store and you can too! I have written up some basic instructions and you can find them in the link:

DIY Wood Kitchen {EAT} Sign

I made this sign last weekend with some leftover plywood. Just traced out the letters and cut them out with a jigsaw. It's not perfect and a little rustic just like I like it. :) I love the way it came out and for all of the cost of nothing.

Why I am and always will be a home improvement junkie

I am a home improvement junkie. Guilty as charged. My dad passed this affliction down to me as I am sure I am in the process of passing my affliction on to my daughter.

Design & Décor: Are snowflake or star ceilings a mid-west thing, or are they prevalent throughout the country?

I personally was glad when we moved into this house that it was this and not the popcorn ceiling like our other house. (which I detest!) Whoever invented the popcorn ceiling should be...... (fill in the blank)

As Paint-N-Plus said, there is a way to wet it down and scrape it off. I'm sure you can find ...»
ways to do it online. You can probably use a paint sprayer for the water.

  • My backyard

This is my backyard. I am so blessed!

This is just outside my back door. I am truly blessed to have 50 acres to spread my wings.
