  • How pretty do these kettles make for potted plants?! 3
  • Fab thrift store finds became my targets!
  • A peat moss based potting soil was added, then a little spanish moss to hide the soil, which makes the pots look fuller!

Make an old kettle herb garden in seconds!

I soooo love my junk! So when I desired to get some real fresh herbs on the go, I decided to bypass standard pots and round up my old kettle collection instead. ...»

My kettle inspired little mobile garden is a riot to play with! And eat. :)

I've used chipped, cracked pottery pieces for this, too.

Vegie gardening ~ Tomato trellis.

My new tomato trellis is working out quite nicely. Very easy to see and maintain the plants and decorative too! That gingerbread molding on the top is 158 years old and my husband fashioned the galvanized tops by hand.

How to plant succulents in Wicker Deco Balls and turn Wrought Iron Scones into a Panter Wall Art ...»

The holders on the wrought iron sconces were meant to be for candles and if I decided to use pots they would have to be pretty small. I tried one of the small pots I had and it really didn't do anything for me! So now what am I going to do? I had a couple of ideas, but decided since it was going to be getting pretty hot I would use none other than... succulents...big surprise right?

Since succulents don't require a lot of water and can pretty much be planted in anything, I decided to used these decorative wicker balls I purchased at TJ MAXX, they were on clearance for $5.00 for a bag of 12. For more on this you can go to http://www.onemoretimeevents.com/2012/07/out...

  • The original washboard frame is painted bright green, to emphasize its original shape for those who would not otherwise made the connection. The pink in the plaid ties it with the door I painted pink.

Just another way to use a washboard.

I needed more storage in my laundry room, so built some truly "rustic" corner cabinets. After extensive searching, I was able to locate 2 new washboards to use as the doors on the corner cabinets.
