I haven't been able to find colorful containers like that in any store.

An unusual tri colored butterfly bush, I didn't like the colors that were on the tag, I almost didn't buy it...

I didn't want to use the chemicals either, as the Milkweed is located right next to it, & I ...»
was afraid it would harm the Moarch egg or cats. I don't use any fertilizer. plant feed, or anything like that, so I'll try the Dawn.

butterflies. The swallowtails passed by but didn't stop to feed, at least not when I was home. I'm going to make some changes & get even more butterflies to feed & lay their eggs here.

in a county farther west of Chicago. I researched their migration habits, & I'm hoping that the Trumpet Vine I have growing over the shed will draw them in. I read that they have a habit of traveling outside their usual feeding grounds in the search of new food supplies. They fly about the height of a house. I'm hoping they find my garden next summer, they are truely fascinatinf creatures, & I have many plants for them in my garden!

Monarchs, even with the Monarch magnet the Liatris Ligulistylis I planted this year, there are only a few Monarchs visiting daily, I was hoping for more. We have over 100 species in Cook County, it has been a challenge identifying them all, some I still don't know which ones they are, but it's been a good learning expereince.
