About Me:

I love making our house into a home! I love decorating! I am a very thrifty girl who loves to go treasure hunting every weekend. I am crafty, I refinish furniture, and I love to repurpose!

Favorite area of home improvement:

My next project is to work on the stairway. I want to paint and stencil the stair risers. I also want to add picture frames up the walls.

I happened to see a "Better Homes and Gardens" article on planting with strawberry containers. I went online for more ideas for herb plants for my strawberry container.

  • Placing the planks in a slight curve as well as random alignment made for a slightly more interesting take. 4
  • Decide where you desire your pathway to go, and make it happen! This was after a few shrubs were pulled out and new topsoil was placed. 1

A little walkway out of pallet boards

This quick little project really couldn't be easier! Reclaimed pallet boards were used to create a new walkway through a flower bed. The planks make it an absolute dream to weed by simply ...»
lifting the applicable board, and are just high enough to clear any water run off. And yes, they are staying in place and have shown no rot in over 3 years thus far.

Woodland Themed Nursery

Even though we knew we were having a girl, I was terrified that the ultrasound tech had it wrong and that we were having a boy. My irrational fear led me chose a nursery theme that was gender neutral - just in case! The result was a woodland themed nursery, which has turned into my favourite room in our house.
