  • My place away from home is just one of my fun things to enjoy during the garden season. It is completely furnished but has no heat. Darn it, why didn't I think of that before I finished it?

  • Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Tricycle Red. I started with a vintage radio cabinet and wanted to achieve a chippy look, not the distressed look.
  • This is my first piece using MMSMP and I use the cabinet to display my vintage quilt collection.

One of my favorite furniture makeovers to date. For the finish I used Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint.

#Bestof2012.I've had this vintage radio cabinet in my living room for a number of years. I think it had been pieced together ...»
through the years with different kinds of woods and finishes. I spruced it up with Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint and now I just love it.

  • What can I do with that corner? 2

Design & Décor: What would you do with this awkward nook?

I have a very large master bedroom (20x25) but I have this awkward corner with windows that I can't figure out what to do with. Currently we have the bed with the headboard against the wall on the right side of the photo. We could move it elsewhere in the room, but this is the nicest location for privacy reasons.

I considered building in a window seat, but it is just too small. The space is only about 3 feet wide. I am even struggling to figure out a window treatment ...»

since the edge of the window is right against the closet wall. I also considered ripping out the closet and eliminating the niche, but there isn't really a place to put in a new closet.

Any ideas?

My Beach Front is done!

I still have a few things to do but I'm done, due to our weather.

UP-DATE: I am very excited that "hometalk" posted my beach on their Facebook page! I ...»

just want to clarify something, in case I didn't make it clear here. I had a horrible time getting anything to grow there other than weeds! I put down plastic and then bags of coquina shells. I will look for a picture but you can see the process on multiple posts on my blog. I did not and wouldn't create a litter box. But what do we do here in Florida, living on sand?! Enjoy!
