Gardening: When is the best time to transplant trees?

I have some small trees that have been growing very slow in my yard. The dirt is very hard in that area and I feel if we move them where the dirt is softer, they will grow better. But ...»
either way, I still want to move them. Any idea's or tips? Thanks, Mellie

Mellie, for transplanting, you want to do so when the tree is as close to dormant as possible. ...»
I actually prefer to do so in late fall, because the tree will have a chance to settle in before being asked to grow again, but now is OK as long as you act quickly. I suggest you do a soil test before you proceed, as there may be pH issues affecting how well your trees are doing. That will also tell you how best to amend the soil. Do remember that your trees will need deep, regular watering to help them get established in their new home.

Another great use of Terracotta pots or some other special pots you may want to use. Love the tier effect

Shower and Tub Cleaner

This is a quick and easy way to keep your shower clean in just two minutes a day.Just get a dish washing wand and fill the dispenser half with vinegar and half with liquid dish soap. Keep ...»
it in the shower. That way everything is ready to go. When you get in, wet the sponge, and scrub away. Next, well, take a shower. That's it. I do a little section of the shower each day and work my way around the whole area about twice a week.

If the mixture gets thick, just add a little water. Also, I would caution that it is important to rinse well, and keep out of eyes as you would any cleanser.

What kind of plant is this?

These are growing in my neighbors yard. We have no clue what they are??? It has a really thick stem like a sunflower would. We thought it was a weed but there are about 6-7 and theyre spaced apart perfectly as if planted purposely. Please help solve the plant mystery
