Long ago, I have worked with a lot of DIY homeowners and still do occasionally. It sounds like you are living in the home and trying to do work yourself and act as the General Contractor. Unfortunately, being a GC requires a lot of skills that manyDIYs take for granted, and they fail to properly plan and stage the work, or communicate properly with the subcontactors.
As a result, an electrical sub who is used to smooth job flow, payments, and scheduling on new work can become frustrated quickly when dealing directly with homeowners in remodel work. You may have found some good tradesmen with poor business skills, but when three in a row do the same thing, it hint to me that you need to learn if there is anything about the way you deal with them that might be driving them off. Again - no offense intended personally - just a suggestion.
To find an electrician used to remo DIY job conditions, you might try placing calls to local remodelors to ask for reommendations.
Best wishes and Good Luck!
