Vintage Ruler Box

I found a vintage ruler from a business on my childhood street. Then we made it functional by turning it into a desktop box for sticky notes and binder clips. Check it out on the blog.

Our new 'industrial chic' backyard is coming along. Our first project was to add a bit of tin for some visual interest. It was pretty easy! #OutdoorProjects #DIYProjects

Candles, white vases and some Spring greenery make for an easy, light and lovely display that makes me want to tackle the rest of the house too.

How to make gallery shelves

Displaying family photos brings such warmth and personality to a home. I love the idea of having a gallery wall, but I also like to change and rearrange things quite often. Just ask my ...»
husband. Gallery shelves let you change out photographs or artwork without having all those nail holes in the wall. They are perfect for filling a large blank space, such as over a couch. Theses ledges would also look gorgeous in a dining room or kitchen displaying a row of plates. Each shelf came out to be $28.00 a piece.

  • This was my anchor piece ~ a vintage pot from the Thrift Store ~ perfect for the yellow and white flowers.
  • The color of these little speckled eggs perfectly matched a container I already had and the little yellow pipecleaner peep was added just for fun.
  • I placed some fresh yellow flowers in a Thrift Store milk glass vase and tucked in a cloth bunny.
  • This African Violet adds a splash of color to the table and the little bunny and peep are salt and pepper shakers.
  • When I was growing up this little bunny in her pinafore was a regular in my Easter basket ~ I love her little smile.
