Landscaping Ideas for Zone 6a

there is a crimson king maple in the front and will shade the right side of the house some. the drive that lead into the portaco doesn't have anything to obstruct the morning sun. The front of the house faces east. drive is south so might get some afternoon sun on the right side of the house then. I posted a pic before but this might give everyone a better idea of what I am working with.

In front of the porch, I would like to see something on a "stalk". Gladiolus, buttercups, or ...»
sea lavender, etc. to give it a full look, use a lot.

Cute planter project

Here is a cute, cheap planter project. Take one pallet, paint, attach hose clamps, put cute flower pots in each! Ta-done!

  • I made my valance from a black, red and white twill fabric which was $5.40 per yard. It took 1 and 1/2 yards. It's on a tension rod. 3
  • I could go on all day about these Little Debbie boxes. I sprayed chalk paint, added ribbon and then used canning lids to anchor the labels. I now have so much space in the cabinets as they are housing our extra lightbulbs! 2
  • All my laundry and cleaning supplies now are housed out of sight.

My Laundry Room Got Happy!

My laundry room was sad. It was a celery green which appeared more or a drab green with all the white. Enter black and red to brighten things up. I'm loving it!! I spent $30 on this redo. (I had the plates.)
