My Neighbor's Garden

My neighbor says that I've inspired her to fix up and expand her garden beds. I think that she is doing an amazing job. We have exchanged a few plants; saving money:-)

TRYING TO PROPAGATE A TRUSTY RUSTY COLEUS...NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE.

I mistakenly snapped a piece of my Trusty Rusty Coleus and now trying to propagate it. It is a pretty long stem so I took all the leaves off except for what you see and put it in a bottle of water. I read that it should take about 2 weeks before I see roots growing. Any suggestions?

Gardening: SCALE ON MY LITTLE GEM MAGNOLIA TREE

My Little Gem Magnolia tree is infected with Magnolia Scale (like this one pictured). With a plastic spoon, I scraped off the scales. Thereafter, I sprayed it with Garden Safe insecticide and also used BAYER ADVANCED All-in-One Rose and Flower Care Concentrate as they were readily available. Does anyone knows for sure if these will work?

Read About Deadly Disease Affecting Knockout Roses

Love your 'Knockout' roses? Read about the deadly disease that threatens to kill them all.

Enough color to knock your socks off - that's 'Knockout' rose. Photo by Steve Bender.Introduced in 2000, 'Knockout' rose quickly became the best-selling landscape plant in the country. It had everything - showy, continuous blooms; compact growth habit; tough-as-nails constitution; and, best of all, no need to spray for black spot disease. But now, nature has tossed green ...»
