DIY Scented Bath Salts- very easy and inexpensive gift idea

I have decided this year for Christmas I will hand make 80% of my gifts. So I thought for all the women I give gifts to, I was going to create a spa themed basket. The first thing I made ...»
was the easiest gift ever, Lavender Bath Salts. This smells amazing! I have always used Epson Salts for my bath but never thought that it was this easy to make them scented. I will never buy full price bath salts again! Simple mix together Epson salt, your favorite scent of essential oils and dried flowers/lavender/citrus peel (optional). Takes 5 minutes and costs under $2 to make (if you buy a $1 container or around $1 if you can use an old jar)! I will share many other recipes as the month goes on.

Master Bath overhaul on the Cheap

with almost no $$. This was back in 02' when you could get a home loan with 0% down and only some PRN work. Our master bath was so so but with deals on tile, a few new doors, paint and getting creative with MDF it became one of our favs! You can read more about it here...

Painting Furniture, Home Decor, DIY, Crafts, humor

Don't throw it out, "Redoux" it is my motto. Saving tired old furniture bound for the dump or thrift store and giving it a brand new look. Endless energy, finding humor in everyday life. Always a smile on my face and it is sincerely from the heart. Life is too short to not enjoy it.

Toy boxes are everywhere. They can be painted (even plastic ones) to match your decor and repurposed to meet your seating and storage needs.

This post also links to an easy drawstring bag sewing tutorial that you can use to make a laundry bag.
