Common Hydrangea macrophylla flower heads are dark tan, usually globe-like, and on the tip of stiff stems. If the brown flowers are lace-cap type, it is almost certainly a macrophylla hydrangea.

'Annabelle' hydrangea blooms are a very light tan, almost white and on the end of three-foot long arching canes.

'PeeGee' hydrangea flowers look like Hydrangea macrophylla blooms but the shrub itself is much bigger...usually 5 – 10 feet tall. Stems are very stiff and arch gently at the top.

'Tardiva' hydrangea flowers are strongly cone-shaped but the leaves are not oak-shaped. 'Tardiva' blooms in mid- to late summer, after oakleaf hydrangea.

Oakleaf hydrangea also has cone-shaped flowers but the bark of the stems peels attractively around the bottom third of the stem.

This garage conversion allowed for an open floor plan and first floor remodel that successfully matched the family's lifestyle and remodeling goals. These goals included: a larger family room; an open floor plan connecting the main living areas; better flow and functionality for both daily living and entertaining; better storage and organizational opportunities; and defined study and reading areas that were still connected to the heart of the main living areas.

To this end, this whole house remodel created an open flow for the main living spaces, including a new kitchen, wet bar, dining room, family room, sun room, and study. Connecting these remodeled living spaces to the new garage is a new mud room and laundry area.

Also integral to this remodel was to make the garage addition seamless to the existing home, making it look from both the exterior and interior as if an addition had never been made at all.

a 70th look linoleum brick floor all worn and the wood work being a very dark brown didn't help to make this kitchen into a cheery place to work in. I love light! Especially during Colorado's long winter month. I remodeled this entire kitchen from top to bottom for less than $900.00
