  • The finished bookcase media wall.  I left the middle section open for a large flat screen t.v.  There's a hole in the countertop towards the wall for cords, and an electrical outlet accessible in the middle cabinet.
  • All trimmed, painted, and lights installed.
  • I used stock wall cabinets (12" deep) from Home Depot as lower cabinets, so I had to build a base for them.  I was reusing some cabinets from a previous media wall attempt that didn't turn out so great, which is why they're painted.

Tin Can Sewing Caddy

I made a sewing caddy which includes a pin cushion that's pretty enough to be set on a shelf, yet comes in handy while I'm measuring and cutting out patterns. Made with used tin cans it's a quick, easy project.
