    The rug is indoor/outdoor and the back is rough and hard, like you wouldn't want to curl up on it.

    because I figured it would stay put until I replaced it with some other back splash...ceramic tile, bead board, tin...Ours has been up nearly two years now and it is as wonderful as the day we put it up.

  • 20.00 rummage sale kitchen.
  • Updated! A new wood top and a little paint go a long way.
  • We pound the nails into thick wood and cut off the faucet pipe and used gorilla glue. I assure you there will be a child inside the kitchen at one time or another.

A Little Kitchen Update

Kid kitchens are all the rage. We have a kid so we needed a kitchen. We found one at a church rummage sale for 20.00. With about 20.00 in upgrades we saved loads of money for a fancy new look.

    I've started using stencils which can give a similar feel too without having to remove it later. I do use beadboard wallpaper a lot too, which is great stuff.

I am a believer that fabric makes the room. Since we have radiators under many of our windows I made some Styrofoam cornice Boards- light, easy and cheap.

Stenciled Door Headboard
