Addition of a fireplace and entertainment center in our home in Arizona

I designed the project and did the tile on the hearth and on the top of the bar. The doors are yet to come. My Son-in-law is the handy guy that built if for me.

    Bad idea, as you brush up against them, kids, animals, cloths, etc, the spackling with break ...»
    down and start coming off. Also, rubbing them down while cleaning will do the same as spackle paste isn't water proof. Made the mistake of trying this sort of thing on a wall.

  • Before, note the one small window that allows very little light in the kitchen due to a patio and a huge tree. 4
  • I did a lot of prep work before I started priming.
  • I used a paint sprayer to primer and paint all of the doors and drawer fronts. 1
  • After several coats of primer and semi-gloss paint. 1
  • I painted my hinges and installed new knobs instead of the brass colored handles. 2

I painted the cabinets about 18 months ago. Not a nick or a scratch anywhere. I really took a lot of precautions to make sure this paint STUCK.
