It'll be mounted on 2x4s dropping from the ceiling joists which are floor joists to the floor above. I want to damp the vibration coming from the fan on the heater so it doesn't produce a
humming noise in the room above. I'm thinking of using rubber washers between the vertical 2x4 and ceiling joists with the washers on the lag bolts that hold the joists and vertical 2x4s together. Am I on the right track? is there a better way to damp vibration from the heater fan to the floor/ceiling joists?

Thanks Paul. Is there a better way to hang the support for the heater than just using rubber
