Old weathered door turned coffee table

Hey Hometalkers! I wanted to share this coffee table that my handy husband created for me using some furniture grade wood, spindle legs, an old wooden door and some copper piping. My ...»
neighbor had this weathered old exterior door out on the curb for trash pickup. I stopped and asked if we could have it, and he hand delivered it to my basement! My husband cut it in half, framed it out and added legs, then added the copper pipe as an accent underneath. I absolutely love the way this table turned out. It's sturdy and is perfect for my son to race his cars around the "tracks". Thanks for letting me share! :) http://unskinnyboppy.blogspot.com/2011/08...

Simple Bedframe

Don't you hate the look of ugly bed skirts? Me too. I talked my husband into building us a simple bedframe to rid our master bedroom of the ugly bed skirt forever. Our bedframe cost us ...»
~$50.00 and was completed in a week-end. Visit our blog for the full tutorial!

Wondrous Peacock Topiaries

One of my favorite facebook pages for gardening inspiration is Old Moss Woman's Secret Garden. I'm still not sure exactly who Old Moss Woman is. Her page is wonderfully mysterious to me, ...»
all I know is that she collects and shares the most incredible photos of nature and gardening and posts them.

I messaged her to ask for permission to share here which she graciously granted. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did.

Here's her page if you'd like to check it out:

Front Porch Makeover

Spent a little time outside on Saturday spray painting and planting flowers in containers on my front porch. #PorchPride

More Bluebonnets. A LOT more.

This pictures was sent to me by Bernice (for some reason it wasn't uploading on her computer.) It is the most wondrous sight I have ever seen. Many thanks to Bernice's friend Tamara in TX for sharing this picture!

Pondless Waterfalls for the Landscape

A pondless waterfall is a waterfall without the pond. You still get the wonderful sight and sound of running water in your garden without having a pond. Pondless waterfalls can be tucked ...»
into a small corner of the garden, or they can stretch across the yard. No space is too big or too small!

  • If you love waterlilies but don't have a pond, simply grow them in a water-tight container. Be sure they receive at least 6 hours of full sun. 1
