  • A close up of the finished floor, it almost looks like old leather. 15
  • I did the whole 10 X 12 room for about $80, but any future room will cost about $30. That's cheap flooring! 11

I got the idea to cut my bags in retangle strips to do the plank look. I paid $20 for a case, stack or what ever they call the package.... of just grocery bags. I got them from the Save A Lot grocery store. They are 5 cents a bag. I decided I liked that better than the rolls. Like Val Roche mentioned, the rolls have different sides and I did not like that part of it all. I am doing mine on top of really icky, black glue floors that were originally Terrazzzo. I plan to sand mine to make sure I get a good adhesion. Oh yes, you can get a large 12 piece sandpaper at the Dollar Tree (that's a dollar plus tax for 12 pieces). I did not like paying $4 for just four pieces at HD.

I know it was at least a month. Well, NO one in my neighborhood used them and I was the first to have a metal roof. I caught a lot of crap about "no one else has a metal roof" and then all of a sudden two, three and more further down.... they are expensive. And I also got the "why are you putting a metal roof on, you don't need a new roof". Then about a year later the costs doubled because of the new laws. Whose laughing now?

Painting: Waxing after painting

I am not happy with the way the finish looks after applying wax over the paint. I use plaster paint and or Annie Sloan paint. I have tried AS wax and Briwax, I have used a brush (not AS brush) to apply the wax, I have tried using clean cloth...the best results I achieved were with the briwax. Is it the way I apply the paint???? Any suggestions?????? I want a nice clean finish on the top of this buffet.

my one rose bush and I am going to put this solution via a garden hose sprayer on my Lilies in my yard that have never want to bloom since I moved them here. This is the entire post that I copied and pasted.

    Chrissie Owens Linden, VA

Actually I keep mine in the same pots they come in, every other day they get submerged into a 5 gallon bucket filled with 1/2 cup of epson salts and 3 gallons of regular water until the soil stops bubbling, then they are hung up to drip dry. I live in the DC area so humidity is not an issue and always, always have ferns that are dark green, glossy, and 3x3' by September from ferns that start out with 7" fronds in May... <:footer class="comment-footer group">
