I wanted a little privacy screen on my deck and decided a pallet would be the perfect (and free!) solution! To freshen it up, I painted the pallet a cheery yellow and filled it with summer flowers and vines! Now it doubles as a garden and provides just the privacy I needed! It was an easy DIY project, you can find the how to details at The Inspired Room http://theinspiredroom.net/2012/05/28/the-pa...
Last Saturday, we went up to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It's been a few years since we've been up there and since it was the last weekend of the festival, we wanted to take
advantage of it before another year passed. The tulips were just gorgeous! There are so many varieties and colors and I love all of them, but I think my favorites are still the classic red tulips and yellow tulips. They're just so happy. It inspires me to plant tulip bulbs this fall.
It was hard for me to narrow down which pictures to post - I must have taken 100 photos! These are just a few of my favorites. You can see more beautiful tulips pics (and 1 corny one) on the blog at http://www.lilikoijoy.com/2013/05/photo-frid.... Warning: Flowers in the images are as riotous as they appear. Enjoy the tulips!
When I found these safe deposit boxes at a local thrift store I knew I could give them a new life. With some elbow grease, paint, and some other tools they have ben turned into my new television console!
