Gardening: I have a long gravel/sand driveway through 10 Acres of woods and want it to look like a classic Southern back road.

I don't want gravel, asphalt, pavers or concrete. I want it to be 2 tire tracks with grass in the middle as it basically now is. However, the gravel is hard to walk on, sounds too loud ...»
when driving upon, and the sand kicks up so much dust that the car is constantly dirty. Is there such a thing as a "heavy sand" that I could put in the wheel tracks that would not create clouds of dust, would be quiet to drive on, easy to walk on, and look more like a country road???? If not "heavy coarse sand" would pine needles do the job?
