Outdoor Living: We have a large holly tree in our back yard very near our deck. Every spring this tree attracts wood boring bees.

Any suggestions how to ward off the hole drilling pests? Can't remove the tree till the bee cycle is done......a bit perilous for the tree removal crew.

Gardening: I need drought tolerant plants.

The plants need to withstand a blazing hot sun with little watering involved. Any suggestions?

I agree with Four Seasons and Douglas but have a few recommendations of plants for Georgia ...»
that are survivors one is Yucca filamentosa which is evergreen and architectural and the other is Sedum 'Autumn Joy' (not native) along with evening primrose. All three of these are tough. Happy gardening.

Gardening: How can I save new potted plants from freezing temperatures?

I have potted plants that were propagated from cuttings in the fall. The only storage is the garage, which will freeze.

Gardening: What kind of plant is this? It puts out little purple flowers. Kind of reminds me of a lizard's tail.
