I have shared several of my home improvement projects with you as I refurbished my kitchen but I forgot to share my tutorial on painting a wood sub-floor or a wooden floor. Hope this helps some of you who are coming up a little short on the re-modeling budget. :-) Go here to see tutorial http://pjhdesignsoneofakind.blogspot.com/20...
It is not hard to make a bench from an old bed head & foot board. Finding the right one to make it something special is the problem. For instructions on making one go to my blog http://pjhdesignsoneofakind.blogspot.com
I know your first reaction may be to "save the wood"....but my cabinets are pretty nicked in some places and I wonder if it would be better to paint them? They are over 17 years old and
have been "well loved and used".
I love the creamy white color of cabinets with bronze pulls and I would love your opinions! Would it give my kitchen a fun update or "what if"....knotty pine comes back in style???? Is that like wishing mom jeans would come back in style? Help!!!!
Paint or NOT?
I have created a clipboard with many of your kitchen transformations as my inspiration! If I didn't include yours, let me know. They have been awesome inspiration and are helping me make up my mind! Here is the link to the clipboard: http://www.hometalk.com/57a1p9smop/board/148.... Follow along!
Sorry for the rough pics. I do not take many pic's in my kitchen! Help!
Restored pie safe painted with milk paint in "Buttermilk" and an antique china cabinet in my own mix of Annie Sloan Chalk paint I'm calling Chantilly Gray & Seaside Whispers. Hope you are inspired and have a great weekend. :-) Peggy
We painted a Union Jack on my old hope chest (aka our coffee table!) My husband laid out the design using AutoCAD, and then transferred the measurements to the trunk. We used painter's tape to keep the designs sharp.
