I found this to be an easy way to dress up the deck.

What's Your Garden Sign?

Every time I visit a garden, I look for a sign-a garden sign. Whether they're cute, funny, informative, philosophical, or simply welcoming, it's always interesting to see what's there. ...»
Sometimes the sign itself is a work of art, with others it's the words that matter (see the composting sign below).

What's your garden sign? Can you know a gardener by their signs?

You can see more signs plus the gardens they are from here: http://www.empressofdirt.net/gardensign/

Building a potting bench out of pallets.

For a weekend project my husband and I built this potting bench out of pallets. Such a great way to recycle pallets and also so useful.

find. Actually anything that you like and will grow in your zone would work.

Concrete Garden Path

We made this garden walkway with a mold that we purchased at Lowe's. We mixed the Quickcrete up and then poured it into the mold a section at a time. It was almost like making mud pies. It was a bit time consuming but we were very happy with the end result. It has held up very well as it has been down now for about 3 years.

I planted these Poinsettias a couple of years ago after using the small plants for decoration in the house.

Does anyone know if I need to cut them back after they have bloomed?
