Artichokes in the Flower Garden

We finally had artichokes survive and produce after many attempts. Five that were planted next to the carport and receive afternoon shade made it and all have 'babies'. Although one seems to be split in two as you can see on the second smaller baby in the photo. We'll be eating all of them, split in two or not.

    They are beautiful. The do take up a lot of room so I think containers may be the way to go ...»
    if there is limited space. I was just out trying to prepare the containers for this years artichokes starts but there were fire ants in all 3 pots. Ouch!
