Lily of the Valley - One of the Smallest Yet Most Fragrant Flowers

Looking for Your Kitchen's Best Paint Color?

Are you trying to find the perfect paint color for your kitchen? As in any other room, find something that inspires you! You can have your paint computer-matched to the object (maybe a gorgeous vintage plate?) or find a similar color to coordinate with your inspiration piece. How Much Accessorizing Is "Right"?

The other day I was doing a consultation for a family in a beautiful home. I thought it had a lot of potential but honestly thought they'd moved in about a week prior to my visit. She told me they'd been there 6 years. Yikes!

Editing 'stuff' is one thing. We all should do that from time to time. However, I told her "Even rooms that you want to be free of too many tschotkes need some well placed, well chosen accessories. They are the ...»

The nice thing is you can see a ton of my work on the Project Gallery. All pics, no words :-) If you feel so inclined, come see the new site. http://www.cndesigns.biz One downside is, since the blog has been completely deleted, links from any of my past HT posts to it, will not be available. I'll still post ...»

  • Guest room without sheers. Also, although you can't see it, it only had a small flush-mount contemporary styled light fixture.
  • Here's the same room with addition of sheers and a gorgeous $20 second-hand chandelier! Oh what a difference a little more light can do :-)
  • Beautiful aged brass with glass baubles and bobeches...not acrylic or plastic. The gleam is amazing!

Oh What Light Can Do!

A little touch of glass! This is a $20 second-hand chandelier I bought for our upstairs guest room. It sure does lend more panache to this room! Before the light fixture, a rather ...»
