Gardening: anyone know what this plant is?

My husband brushed up against it, and it "trashed" his forearm. It has been 10 days and the arm is still red and sore and peeling. I have looked into poison ivy, oak, and sumac, and none match. Thanks!

Landscaping

Anyone with ideas in this area for plants. Full sun, drought tolerant, low maint, favorite color purple. Should I raise the empty area in the front to place some annuals and perrennials. Thinking about purple coneflower, purple salvia, purplewave petunias.? Should I move the smaller shrubs Help! Please

I would move the small bushes to the front to line the bed and then add daylillies for more ...»
coverage and color. Then your favorite purple flowers throwing in to break it up. For height I had a shephard's hook that would hold containers of your petunias.
