Hanging Baskets Add Wow To Your Porch

Hanging baskets and porches go hand-in-hand, helping to usher in thoughts of relaxation and iced tea while you enjoy breezes and views from your porch. Baskets of flowers and plants not only provide you with exceptional color, they also create amazing curb appeal and a sense of privacy when placed strategically.
Some classic hanging baskets include:
-Boston ferns
-Petunias and Alyssum
-Geraniums - both vining and regular
-Verbena and Sweet Potato vine
-Spiky Dracaena and Bacopa (bridal veil)
Do you have a favorite hanging basket combination?
Flowers and ferns hung between the columns of this wrap-around porch create a sweet farmhouse look.
Hanging ferns are a classic porch adornment and are perfect when combined with a stately column like this.
The simplicity and beauty of this single basket of petunias adds a charming burst of color to this attractive porch.
You don't have to hang the baskets from your eaves or beams - you can use plant stands and place them where you'd like or set them on your porch railings.
Combining flowering annuals and vining plants helps create a feeling of abundant growth quickly.

Be sure to water them twice a day, and they will thrive! If you can you might want to transplant them into larger containers, as they become root bound quickly!

@Jeanne Treend Thank you for your suggestions. Especially when the weather is hot and sunny, regular watering is important.
