My Home in 1990 and Now: Curb Appeal

When I purchased my house in 1990, it had new steel Wedgwood Blue siding. I was a single mom to an 11 and 6 year old. In 1993, I was remarried and had another child. My front yard evolved as I went from gardener to perennial gardener to junk gardener...
I added a third paint color "Terra Cotta" for accent. I added a perennial garden.
My house in 1990 when I purchased it. The shrubs were overgrown.
The perennial garden became a perennial/annual garden.
With the shrub removed, the covered patio was a perfect spot to sit (and decorate).
The whole theme of my patio became a vintage one.
My curb appeal is defined with beautiful flowers and garden junk.

What a green thumb you have! The house looked forgotten before, and now looks so cheerful and welcoming. The terra cotta really spiced it up. So many little touches that really turned it into a home. Thanks for sharing it.

I really envy that flower bed. I need to save that for inspiration for my new blank canvas yard. It is sweet.

It has been shared on Hometalk many times, along with planting instructions. Thanks!
