Coffee table needs a makeover!! Ideas??

My coffee table is boring and has scratches and nail polish and nail polish remover on it. I want to add color to my living room, where everything is brown/wood (couch, tables, baskets...) and with kids my coffee table has been through a lot in three short years.

This is the kind of decor I like.
Not sure if any of these things help. I'm new to Home talk and trying to put a living room together.

It's a great shaped table, so you have a good base to work with. You could sand it down and paint it, and because you already have a wall hanging you like, I would trace that pattern onto the table - make it funky and bright, or soft a subtle. With paint, you can't go wrong, because you can always repaint it again. (and again, and again . . .) Have fun!

la fairhope says it all paint is just paint you can change it over and over and do not stress have fun with it sand or using a liquid sander is the one piece of advice i can give xx

You could paint the table and use a stencil to give it more charter. There are so many options for all types of stenciling. You could have a piece of glass cut to fit the top to help protect it once you have finished the table.
