Laundry Room Redo

Come by and see how we transformed our messy laundry room into a neat laundry/craft room combo. It started out an absolute horror, but with a little purging, a little paint, a new floor, and a few accessories, we now have a multi-purpose room that is super functional!
This room has been the most fun of any of the home projects we have done, probably because it is such a dramatic change. We began by purging lots! We had a giant garage sale and donated some items to charities. We moved even more items to storage bins in the basement. We then removed the shelves to open the room up, and it really did! We put on a coat of fresh white paint, scrubbed the window and laid a new vinyl floor. Then the fun started with decorating, and we still have lots that we want to add, but this is a great start. It's a wonderful, well organized space. This makeover seemed like such an overwhelming task that we put it off forever. I could just kick myself for that. We spend so much time in this room now and before it was cringe-worthy.
See what I mean- a nightmare, but no more!
Also, laundry has yet to get behind, because the room is so cheerful and pleasant, we all get our laundry done.
Everything has a place to be stored which makes staying organized a snap!
This little table and chairs combo from IKEA, serves as my sewing spot and a craft area for the kids. It is now my favorite room in the whole house!
This refreshed space is now a welcome addition to our home.
Updated: It's been a year and a half, and we're still tweaking this little space. It's still my favorite room in the house! All that labor was totally worth it!

It's beautiful but where do you store things like detergent, bleach, stain removers, softener, dryer sheets, etc?

@Rolenski, if you check the photo of the washer and dryer, there's a basket on the shelf that holds my dryer sheets and stain removers. On the same shelf is a large lucite container that stores my soap. With these storage options, everything is still within reach, but more pleasing to the eye! As for bleach, since I don't use it all that often, it is stored with my other cleaning products in a kitchen cabinet. Thanks so much for asking!
