Bird Watching~ Chickadees

This variety of Chickadee used to be common in my neck of the woods but has been scarce for almost a year now. I've been searching their habitat and found a flock nesting nearby :)
Chickadees are cavity-nesters, and use existing abandoned cavities including old woodpecker or other natural holes
Nesting female Chickadees sleep in the nest cavity while males sleep in a nearby sheltered branch in a tree, vine, or shrub.
Chickadees are territorial during the breeding season, but they form flocks in the winter.

Cute. Love your decorations. They are so colorful and creative. My sons and I were sitting at a coffee shop recently and saw a few chickadees. The shop is located right next to a wooded area and had lots of feeders and birdhouses out. There were nuthatches, mourning doves, woodpeckers, and others. Such fun to sit there and watch them all.
