This family room ideas are based on the owners’ desire to create a cozy, private space away from the kitchen and the open living room. It is still designed as a conservatory with a more functional floor plan and seating around the television late at night when kids are asleep. Dark color walls add coziness and romance. Faux tin wallpapered ceiling adds to the feeling of the outside garden. The window treatments are simple stationary drapery panels. They flank the arched windows, showing off the room’s beautiful architecture open to the outside view. Plum, chocolate and soft latte colors of the upholstery work with sage and bronze of the faux tin wallpaper of the ceiling. Splashes of white color make the dark colors stand out.
