  • I decoupaged printouts of postcards inside the drawers of my end table to tie in with the postcards on the table top.. 2
  • Francesca's drawers all cleaned up with a little decoupage magic.
  • Now you see why she needed a drawer update!

Dirty drawers? Decoupage them! :)

I posted earlier about updating my end table with paint and postcard graphics. Well, Francesca also needed a little update behind the scenes, so to speak. Another fun project thanks to Karen - The Graphics Fairy ...»

What Would You Add To This Kitchen?

This AK kitchen from years back is the epitome of a kitchen with "great bones" and a totally neutral palette. If you were updating this space, what would you add or do to this kitchen? ...»

Would you include some bold accents, or new paint? Or do you like it just the way it is?

  • This is the finished bench. The colors remind me of a gypsy wagon. I toiled over the colors for a year and finally was inspired by the color on a plastic tumbler. I took it to the lumber yard and they matched the color. 23
  • This is the bed how I bought it from the thrift store for $35.00.
  • This is the bed with the footboard turned upside down and it fashioned into a bench before the painting started. 3
  • Got it all sanded and primed and still had no idea what color it was going to be. 1
  • First color. Deciding what should be what color was the fun part!

Giving a standard bathroom cabinet a furniture look.

With home values continuing to head in the wrong direction, I didn't want to spend money on a new vanity. Giving our standard vanity a furniture look seemed like a good compromise. I painted the toe kick black to give the illusion of space underneath. Added legs and designed and cut pieces to go between the legs. I like a french country look, but for a modern look, you could simplify the design. http://plumdoodles.com/2012/04/16/giving-a-s...
