About Me:

I was born in Spartanburg, SC on July 31,1947. My parents named me Marian Cecelia Neill. These days I am known as CeCe except by my grandson who is required to call me GramCe. All my years I have enjoyed creating. After a career of creating memories in the education field, I turned my dreams into a business. While I still constantly, it seems, create, I have taken a break from selling my creations. Dreaming up projects is my version of sheep counting. My favorite projects are those which recycle antique and vintage items. Nothing delights me more than taking the old and making it new again. All sorts of projects for children, adults, pets, homes and offices keep my dreams alive!

Favorite area of home improvement:

Oh, Boy! There isn't much I don't like about home improvement. I love to see the results from working on a project. It makes my heart sing.

  • Finished Mason jar solar light.
  • Supplies Needed: Solar lights, duct tape, Mason jars and outer lid, spray paint and painters tape. 3
  • Screw off the top of the solar light and put painters tape on the top of the solar panel.
  • Spray paint the solar light tops and lids.
  • I folded the duct tape in half to create double sided tape. I used duct to keep the light from falling into the jar. Duct tape is also weather proof.
  • I wrapped the duct tape around the light. Make sure you don't put the tape to close to the top. You don't want the tape to stick out of the lid. 4
  • I stuck the light with the duct tape inside the jar. You don't need to push the light in too far, just enough to make it snug. The lid will make it more secure.
  • It was an easy project that didn't cost very much money. I had all of the resources with the exception of the lights. 1

Mason Jar Solar Lights!

Don't you just love all of the things you can make and do with Mason jars? I have been wanting Mason jar solar lights since I saw them in a catalog three years ago, but for $40 a jar ...»
there was no way I would allow myself to buy them. I knew I needed to figure out a way to make them myself. I bought some solar lights at the dollar store and was able to come up with my own Mason jar solar lights. Please visit my blog to see all of the details.

I am wanting to buy a sewing machine that will sew heavy fabrics, if needed, feed fabrics evenly, and monogram.

The local Joann's sells Viking and Singer. The salesperson recommended Viking over the Singer Quantum 600. Any opinions?

Valentine Mantel

Inspired by a PB Love Wall Plaque, my red and white Valentine mantel was then created.

Paper Flower Decorations

I just love these paper flowers made out of vintage pattern tissue paper and sheet music. They would look darling on top of a package wrapped in brown paper bag paper. They could be made in all different sizes.

What Do You Think?

I may be the worst home decorator ever so I frequently turn to friends and family for their opinion about the colors I've chosen. I painted our front door a vibrant red but am not so ...»
sure it's a good pick. I'm about to paint the back door, either the same color or another altogether, depending on what is decided. Anyone have any thoughts? Like the red or is it over the top?

Piano Entertainment Center

1897 Upright piano would not hold a tune anymore. After 110 hours, now it will hold your 46" flat screen. Foot pedals lift to reveal hidden storage. What do you think?
