The porch was set on stones under the soil level and then onto a few exposed bricks. There was no formal foundation and as time moved on the stones began to push into the soil and cause the porch to settle out.
We completely remove the porch supported the roof and rebuilt it from the ground up. We installed new complete footings with a brick and block foundation wall. Capped the center area with cement and then sealed it with asphalt and plastic to prevent any water from seeping down between the foundation walls. This was pitched ever so slightly so any water that gets through the T&G Mahogany deck will drain back out and do no harm below the platform.
The upper roof pulled off of the front of the building by almost four inches. We jacked it up and re-attached the arch trims. We however without completely removing the entire porch could not push the roof section back tight the the structure. So we placed 5/4 boards after cutting the siding back and re-flashed the roof to prevent any leaks.
So you can go this route, lots of work and a bit of cash, or you can dig out on the sides, Jack up and support. Then dig and pour new footings in place then block up to the point in which you can set the deck area and porch posts down to support the deck area again.
