Unique hanging magazine rack

If there is one thing I love to do, it is to re-purpose vintage "junk" into a treasure.....For example, I came across an old iron crib and turned one of the side rails into a hanging magazine rack. I plan to eventually hang the other rail horizontally from the ceiling and turn it into a pot rack....To view additional photos, you can see them here: http://serendipitychicdesign.blogspot.com/20...

A paler rose than the pink on the left, or a soft coal or peach, will make your guests look good!

DIY stair lighting

I have to brag on my husband for his handy work! Let the Spring Honey Do List begin!

Candice- EXOVATIONS

These kits come in several different options. You can have the lights installed into the boards on your deck, on the stairs like shown or you can even have them installed on the front post with a decorative hood. Also available is post caps with lights in them. Lots of options to spruce your exterior up at a low cost this Spring!

I like them both and think putting little lights in them would be great at night.

My garden cupola

A friend brought over some old windows knowing that I would do something fun with them. The outcome? This fun large garden cupola over my septic tank! The roof is plastic ceiling tiles.

  • AFTER. . . the harsh contrast of white is gone and the raised details come alive. The remaining trim acts as an outline to punctuate the space. 7

Ahh, sigh,...Wood Paneling. Did you love it in the 70s?

Does it bring back memories of your childhood Rumpus Room? It's likely NOT what you want in your family room today. And some fabulous, older, Atlanta area homes are plagued with dark wood ...»
