  • Add a small waterfall to your small pond to keep it properly filtered and aerated (which means less maintenance). 5
  • This 4'x6' pond was installed using a DIY kit. It sits right next to the patio providing a great view. 6
  • The pond often takes center stage in the yard. And look ... no grass to mow! 6
  • An unused corner of the backyard becomes an oasis and is no longer wasted space. 1
  • This small pond and waterfall is tucked beside a patio situated under a deck. A great solution for a spot that was once an eyesore. 3
  • This waterfall has a very shallow pond (just a couple inches deep) for the kids to play in. 3
  • Create a unique deck setting by tucking a pond into the middle of it. 2
  • This small pond reflects its Asian influence. Japanese gardens are typically void of color other than the green of surrounding foliage and the grays and browns of smooth stone. 3

Small Water Gardens

A pond or water garden doesn't have to be large to be enjoyable or beautiful. Small ponds provide the sight and sound of water in the landscape and will attract birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and more!

Jane A. Is there an accumulation of organic debris in your pond? If so, it may need ...»
cleaning. As this debris breaks down it adds nutrients to the pond Algaecides are only a band-aid approach. Although they may 'kill' the algae, it in turn decomposes and releases the same nutrients back into the pond water. The algae returns and you are out a few bucks. Remove the source of the problem and you remove the problem.

Pondless Waterfalls for the Landscape

A pondless waterfall is a waterfall without the pond. You still get the wonderful sight and sound of running water in your garden without having a pond. Pondless waterfalls can be tucked ...»
into a small corner of the garden, or they can stretch across the yard. No space is too big or too small!
