    I don't like painted brick as a rule, but mine is definitely uglier than hers was!

  • Another shot of my valance and plates.  You don't have to sew to make this valance.  Fabric glue, good iron and a steady hand is all that is needed. 2

PATIO MAKEOVER! As a renter sometimes you are limited to what you can do to make your place feel like your own. Sometimes all you need to do is just ask your landlord. That's what we did with our patio makeover. He was fine with it and trusted our judgement. Heck, we added value to the place! We wanted to do it in an affordable way, so we used pavers and gravel.
