My new house living room has evolved with more aqua blues than ever. I have a mostly neutral palette in the furniture, so wanted to bring in pops of blue around the room and that was done
with thrifted finds and a few intentional fabric choices, like the Ikat panels and the zebra teal rug. The modern art was a steal at Ballard Designs and really brings a nice touch to my mostly traditional space. I love my room now!
I cannot wait to get going in my new house with some flower/shrub beds and perennials. I did a perennial bed at my old house in Birmingham and it's been too long since I had my hands in
the dirt. My new house is a blank slate waiting for some flower love and I can't wait to get to tackle some of the areas at this house too. I love flower gardens! Yes, I'm itching for spring. First thing up, is renovating my screen porch!
Here's an easy method for hanging pictures, mirrors or any of those things that have 2 holes or hooks on the back. Those are so hard to hang straight and even. Step by step at my blog for all the tips using tape!
One of my recent home projects has been renovating this 1970's bathroom. The tile floor was nice, but it definitely needed warming up with rugs and linens. New wall paint, painted vanity,
painted countertop, hardware, shower curtain and cozy rugs, really make this space lively now. It's warm and toasty on a cold winter's night with the rug from Ballards and TJ Maxx bathmat by the tub. #keepingcozy
