Outdoor Living: Shower Tile?

I have installed backer board to all walls and am ready to start tiling them. Want to tile over the floor tiles, but the posts seem to discourage this. Seems like a real project to remove ...»
the tiles from the concrete shower floor. Then left with problem of smoothing it to accept the new tiles. Is tiling over the existing floor tiles really looking for future problems? If not, do I need to rough up the floor tiles before I put down the new on top of them?

If the cabient boxes are in good repair, refacing the cabinets would be an option. If the ...»
cabient boxes are damaged (perhaps from a water leak) you may want to consider replacing them. There are many selections for a dark appearance, ranging from stain to thermofoil...good luck and please ask more questions. Happy to help advise you on this project.

No one has asked yet...so I will...what is the current door made of...if the answer is ...»
laminate...please do not paint unless you are a professional. Consider refacing or perhaps replacing...if you are also replacing your counter tops, you may want to bite the bullet and replace while you are going through the renovation...good luck!

    Two great responses ...»

Check your local home center for the Martha Stewart or the thomasville cabinets. They are both masterbrand products made by Diamond under a different label. They have a smaller offering as far as door styles and finishes but are a great value. Diamond vibe may also be available in your area....good luck!

Remodeling: I would like to remodel our bathroom countertops.

Are people raising their bathroom countertops when they remodel? My cousin said that they are raising them to the height of kitchen countertops which is 36 inches?

It is typical now that the vanity counter top height is 36"...be sure before you move forward ...»
that you have selected your sink and faucet....if you are doing a vessel type of sink you'll need to account for the height of the sink above the counter top so it soesn't get to be too high. Happy New Year!
