About Me:

I'm a Harvard-trained architect, now proudly staying at home with 3 small children, a new house to decorate (that I designed!), and three meals a day to put on the table. I'm putting my passion for design, food and family to work! I built the dream, but I still live in reality.

Adding color to the Dining room

I finally took the plunge and added A TON of color with Flor tiles under my dining table. I love the result, bright, fun, and the stripes hide spills so well:)

I haven't had much time to prepare for fall yet (where'd summer go?) but this project was a super easy and fast way to add a little festivity to the dining room table.

Yellow and Black Fall Tablescape

Why get stuck with orange as the go=to fall color? With sunflowers and a pop of silver, this screams fall too!

Love this. Only thing I would change is add something yellow to the other end of the table. ...»
This would balance the pop of color.

Framed Vacation Memories

New bedding, bringing in some bright pops of color, fun wall decals and an overall sense of playfulness makes my guest room *almost* done. My favorite touch? That I painted and stenciled the nightstand my self, and the confetti wall treatment.

  • I realized how "off" my old photos were so I took some with my new camera. This really shows what color the walls are.

With three boys and a husband who likes to play in the dirt (aka landscaper), I end up spending a lot of time in our small but pretty-darn-well-organized laundry room.
