ANTS? Easy, Safe Solution!

An exterminator told my friend that when you begin to see ants, they are the scouts. Stop these and you won't have ants. My son discovered that if you spray them with Windex (or any other glass cleaner), they are exterminated. Keep after it for a while and you won't have ants. We have used this for years. 2 days ago our humming bird feeder leaked onto the concrete front porch...the liquid got down in the crack between brick and concrete so there was not way to flush it out. Ants ...»
appeared quickly, I sprayed them with Windex. Watched through the day and kept spraying them. Now ant free! Safe for kids, pets and environment! It is worth a try before you spend hundreds.

Handmade no sew Tee Pee

I've wanted a teepee for about, oh, seven years now. (PS. did you know tipi, tepee + teepee are all acceptable? The things you learn when writing a blawgh.) ...»

I first spied one in the mall before I got the nerve to try things on my own, and the price tag was not pretty. ($$$ x 4!) Then I wanted to make one, but the sewing part always freaked me out a little. You know, triangles and preciseness, and giant poles falling on your children and eight hour projects amongst other various whatnots. I'm getting the hang of sewing, but I was looking for an easier approach.

So I decided on a no-sew tactic.

Proud of my kitchen

I had a flood and HAD to rennovate my house. I had it lifted 9 feet to clear the flood zone and built a garage underneath. In the process I had the chance to realize some of my dreams and had the mexican tiles laid on the floor even selected hand painted tiles for the backsplash trim. I bought an antique stove and selected a porcelain sink rather than the typical undercounter ones that are dropped in when granite counter tops are installed. All-in-all, I think it turned ot unique and a ...»

Gardening: I have this thing growing up through an azelia. I know it has to go, but (esp. @Walter Reeves) what IS it? Anybody?

It looks kind of like a holly of some sort, but the leaves are more broad than any holly I've seen! Also, if you know what it is, just what are those berries going to do? Flower? Change color? Stain my clothes?
