Plaster Casting Leaves for Great Wall Art!

Using large leaves from my Elephant Ear plant, I casted them in plaster for a great display piece.

Hi Lynne, You can use any type of leaf, however, I would suggest using thick, strong leaves. ...»
The Elephant Ear does well with this, but if you could find something with thick veiny leaves, it would work too.

Faux Iron Gate made from Toilet Paper Tubes!

A great way to recycle and decorate at the same time! Strips of toilet paper tubes are quilled by rolling them around the end of a paint brush.

I just put in several strategically placed small nails and hung it! It could also be hung with those sticky hanger strips so as not to mar the wall.

Tutorial: Garden Sunflower From Plastic Spoons

I used 100 plastic spoons to make a sunflower for my backyard. I dug around in my closet and found a plastic tray that once was used at an office party. I brought home the lid to the coffee can from work to use as the center. I rummaged through my son's bag of pipe cleaners and dug out all the black ones and a couple of the yellow ones.
